Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing and Custom Paint

Kitchen cabinet painting is a great and economical way to enhance and restyle your existing kitchen for a fraction of the cost it takes to replace them. A new look for your kitchen is achievable with kitchen cabinet refinishing. We use high-quality lacquers and paints in a wide selection of colours. Our process is to clean, degrease and sand your doors and cabinets, prime and apply 2 to 3 finish coats of waterborne, low VOC lacquer or paint sanding between each application. The result is a durable, resilient finish you will be impressed with.

THE REFINISHING PROCESS:

The first step in our kitchen cabinet refinishing project is to remove and label all cabinet doors and drawers from boxes. All cabinet doors, drawers and removable pieces go back to the shop to be refinished. We will fix or replace any damaged hinges or door parts.

Step 2 in this process is to prep the kitchen cabinet boxes on site. This involves a thorough cleaning using TSP or degreaser and rinsed clean to ensure dirt and grease build up is removed. Once cabinets have been cleaned and degreased we sand and fill any dings and divots. The cabinets are now ready for a first spray coat of fast drying waterborne primer. Once dry we sand and either prime if we decide another prime spray coat is necessary and then apply 2 to 3 spray finish coats of waterborne, low VOC lacquer or paint sanding between each application. Meanwhile back at the shop, the doors and drawers are finished in a similar fashion.

Step 3, once the doors and drawers have been completed we deliver and install them on your newly freshly sprayed cabinet boxes replacing any damaged hinges or door parts. The process is now complete. From prep to finish the entire process typically takes between 5 to 8 days.

At Beach Hill Painting we use only top of the line low VOC Pre Catalyzed and Post Catalyzed water based pigmented lacquers and paints on all of our cabinet refinishing projects.
